Did adults wear saddle shoes in the 50's or was that only a younger/teenage trend?

They always show "teens" with them on and I guess a adult woman would be wearing a heel in that time period?
Talking about a 30 year old woman in 1950 area.

I remember seeing pictures of men wearing them at the country club. They are even today a popular design for a golf shoe.

These days, I think swing dancers [both men and women] are the only people who wear them.

It makes a nice "retro" look.

I liked seeing Rory Gilmore wear them on television.

i don't think adults wore them

I look at my family's old photos and yearbooks i only see the kids and teens in them

my grandmother told me most women wore heels and sometimes like these black heeled oxfords which were very severe
