Rule of thumb to remember, if you are comfortable in how many layers you are wearing add one for your baby.

My daughter was born in April and I always put her in cotton sleepers at night or sitting around the house. Since the air conditioning was always on keeping the house cool I wanted to make sure she was warm enough. If we went out I put those tank top creeper/rompers on her, dresses, or some kind of short outfit that would allow her to stay cool. For my son, who was born April 2 this year, I have some of the short rompers and short outfits and onesies. I'd recommend cotton sleepers at night though since you will most likely have the a/c on.

My son was born in April last year and we always wore light weight long sleeve sleepers on him at night. Depending on the type of environment they'll be in, dress them accordingly. If they are indoors in AC all day, light weight long sleeves and pants is just fine. If outside in hot temps, shorts and onesie with sunscreen. Babies can wear what you wear, just use a little common sense and the baby will be just fine.

As long as it is soft and cool enough, they won't mind. Onesies are a great idea and sleepers are fine at night because they will be inside with AC.

My daughter was born August 7th..six years ago. She slept in those gowns for the first month or so....then it got colder at night and transitioned to cotton sleepers. Onsies on the very hot sweaty nights!!! Good luck!

Depends on if you have air condition or not. If it will be cold in your house probally stuff that is warm. Your baby will tell you if he is to hot. He will get a heat rash or be wet when you pick him up. I never had a summer newborn but my were about 5-6 months and I wear just short outfits and oncies on them. You probally will need lots of reciving blankets to wrap him or her in. They are cooler! good luck!

My kids loved the onesies that were scrunchy on the bottom. so it looked kind of like a dress in a sense but babies love them since it gives them room.
