I'm in a similar situation, so I feel for you. I have a stepdaughter who's mother abandoned her 2 years ago. I have been raising her for the last 2 years with my husband, no contact from her mother. We have been trying to get custody of her for over a year, and our lawyer is taking her sweet time with it. Recently, they started deducting the child support out of my husbands checks again, for this little girl that we have had for 2 years! They are being cashed by the mother, because they have traced the checks, but we cannot do anything about it becase the papers have not been changed yet. They keep putting off the court date. We are paying 400 dollars a month to this woman who does not even have the child,is known to not have a job, and a major drug habit. It really ticks me, off, too. Go ahead and vent, I have been wanting to do that all day as well. I actually did to a friend of mine a few minutes ago, and man it felt good. I have no respect for deadbeat parents, there is nothing more selfish in the world. Good luck to you. :)

If your husband owes you child support and is not paying, you should call the cops. He is breaking the law.

Have a good day!
