well, its not really recommended to give any cows milk till 12 months. Not sure what flavor you have but chocolate and strawberries are also a no-no till 12 months.
If you decide to give her tiny bites I would make it vanilla
she shouldn't have a lot of sugar but any artificial sweetener CANNOT be given to a baby. Its very bad for children (really its bad for adults, too)

There are several reasons that it is not recommended to give an infant products with cow's milk before age 12 months. The protein in cow's milk is more difficult to digest than formula or breast milk, children younger than 12Months can be allergic to cow's milk, and specifically with the ice cream, as others have said the chocolate and other flavors are not good for him/her. Try to focus on giving him/her the right types of foods at this age like the age appropriate baby food fruits and vegetables. Remember your baby's tastes are different and they don't need so much sugar and salt to enjoy their food...
While I am on my soap box, this country has enough problems with obesity, learning the proper eating habits starts very early, if you are going to give your 8 month old ice cream now, what kind of foods will you give him later? and what are you teaching him/her about how to eat? Do your baby a favor and get him/her hooked on the good foods that are good for him/her before you introduce the foods that have very little nutritional value... YOUR BABY NEEDS GOOD FOODS TO GROW RIGHT, ICE CREAM DOESN'T REALLY FALL INTO THE GOOD FOOD CATEGORY.......

A liilte sure won't hurt the baby. I wouldn't give her any ice cream toppings. Don't give her a lot at a time because we all know how we feel with a cold ice cream brain freeze.

I have been giving my daughter soft solid foods since she was 3 months old. I always tried to make the ice cream low fat or no sugar. I found that it helped with the teething and made a fun sticky mess!!!! Have fun with it!!!!!!

Be careful about introducing dairy products too soon. It can lead to dairy allergies if their bodies are not ready for it yet. Also, it's better to introduce sugary foods later in life, because they can learn to enjoy healthier things first and develop a taste for them that can last for life.

Try a little, and if she gets sick, or runny poop dont give her anymore for a while. Her stomach might not be ready for ice cream yet.

I also did that with mashed potatoes and jello, themes alongside that line. i became into large possibility-loose with my first, yet discovered out that letting slightly one stumble on is how they earnings self conception. see you later as she isn't having a dinner of the stuff and although getting dissimilar nutritious infant foodstuff, and formula/breast milk, i imagine of you're possibility-loose. enable her stumble on and performance fairly relaxing, are you able to imaging tasting those foodstuff for the first unquestionably time, how interesting!

I'm not sure why you would want to give it to her. Too sugary, and she doesn't know any better. What if she realizes sugar is great and no longer wants anything else.
It's really best not to give her any.
