Hi, last sunday i was driving along the a49.
However half way home a car pulled out in front of me from a driveway.
At this time the roads were flooded and it was still raining quite heavily. I slowed right down but still managed to smash into the front of the car in front.
I did pull into the hedge but managed to damage my drivers side and his passangers side.
The point is: the guy was polish, had no insurance, no licence (sorry abour spelling) and the car was not his. I managed to get all his details eventually.
Should i report this accident to the police? the first thing the guy said to me was that he did not want police involved.
What should i do?
The accident wrote off my car 2000 peugeout 106 xn zest and damaged the over car 1992 mazda 636.
Any help appreciated

Yes you should have reported the accident to the police - it is a requirement that you do so. Failure to do so is a criminal offence and carries an offence code AC20 - section 170 of the 1988 Road Traffic Act. http://www.opsi.gov.uk/acts/acts1988/Ukpga_19880052_en_8.htm#mdiv170
You may be able to claim (if not under your own policy) from the MIB under their uninsured driver agreement - subject to the excess under the policy

Yes you should get a police report number. This shows that you were prepared to make it official. It is possible that the details you got will not enable your insurers to recover any money, ie they are a pack of lies, and it may only be your word as to what happened. Be aware that if you went into the back of the other car you might get the finger pointed at you, at the least you may get an automatic warning of intended prosecution. The longer you leave it the less notice the police will take

Hi, yes report him to the police for no insurance firstly 0800 113 5000.
The accident was his fault if you were on a road and he was immerging onto it.
IE you were already travelling along that road and he pulled onto it.
If he is an illegal immigrant then he might well get deported and so be reluctant to want the police involved.
I would take legal advice, now the RAC offer advice over the phone, and they specialise in accidents whereby other driver(s) have no insurance, regardless of who was at fault.
You don't have to be a member of the RAC either.
Call them free on 0800 0566 384 and ask for help in this matter.

YOUR NEIGHBOR crasher into your car, and asked should you make a police report? NATURALLY OF COURSE, you should file a police report concerning the damage of your neighbor brought to your parked car. I DO NOT SEE ANY PROBLEM WITH a California driver's license and presently in Arizona, if she is in Brazil and show you her license as such then it is still valid, as long as she got one. The problem lies if she hasn't anything to present or show you that is the worst problem, driving without license. NOPE she is definitely not going to jail for a civil damage such as this one only. You can file a civil damage suit and you can meet her face to face in court. This is not a criminal case so therefore only monetary consideration is at stake. Regarding the amount of $1000 you are claiming she can hire her own insurance estimator and estimate the real cost of our car and can demand that you jack up the price of repair of your car which she might claim only $400 only. So it will be a battle between your lawyer and her own insurance lawyer.

The fact that the guy had no license, or insurance and he was driving a "borrowed" car alone should be enough to report right there, even if you leave the accident out of it! Unquestionably you should report it to the authorities. Just think, if you don't, that guy will still be out on the road without a license, and he could even kill somebody! You have a responsibility to report him, or other people could get hurt because of your negligence.

Call the police right away, but i also think that you should ask the guy if he wants to pay for the damages first, but if he doesn't and tries to avoid you, call the police right away, and don't wait too long because the guy might go live somewhere else.

Call the Police, and report the incident. Then call your insurance.
The UK government has an insurance you can claim against for just this reason. They'll pay to fix the car.

yes anytime you are involved in a car accident it is best to report it. that way you arent going to get blamed for anything you didnt do, this guys isnt going to flee the country, etc.
and if the guy tells you he doesnt want police involved, you should prolly get them involved cuz he may be hiding somehting

Firstly, the accident was your fault, you should drive and be in a position to stop. All accidents, involving injury must be reported within 24 hours. You should have called the police last Sunday, not thinking about it now, they won't be interested i am afraid.
