Well ALL is too many, it might be ok for some women, but some men can be very manipulative when they are the only breadwinner.

Some women would rather do other things.

Some males enjoy the power they get from having their lady dependant on them. They make her fetch him a cup of tea any time he wants it. They have control over her. You need money to do things. So the male can control the female by not giving her money to be free.

If the male is the breadwinner / bringing home the bacon, he can often have the final say in all decisions. The women's ideas aren't respected. He will do things without consulting with the female about her ideas. Such as building a narrow kitchen breakfast bar, when the female might have recommended a wide multipurpose one, pointing out that when the house is getting sold, people who are looking for a new place might see a breakfast bar, and also see other potential but would need a wider bench.

It can be really bad for your health being dependent on a male who abuses the position and lacks respect in subtle ways.

Your wrong because not all women prefer to stay at home- some women just get sick to be in a house all day doing the same everyday- some women like being in their houses, taking care of the kids etc. It really depends on the $ that flows into the house and if there is no need for a second income and most important it depends on a woman and what each one wants. If you decide to be at home that does not mean your a slave , being at home is a full time job too the difference is that there is NO physical payment- you get emotional payments( if you raised your kids right and your husband is a considerate person). :-)

Yea I'd have to say your wrong for saying ALL women. Women are different and want different things. Because maybe you want to be a housewive doesn't mean every other women does. Can you not see all the successful women out there?

And besides, that's ridiculous to rely on a man to bring home the money. What will happen if you've been relying on him for money and you all brake up? You'll be stuck. Women are dumb to put themselves in bad situations like that. Never rely completely on a man to take care of you because things DO happen.

I don't think all women should be housewives. I think it depends on the woman's preference and if the family can afford to have a stay at home parent. I think the reality now a days its hard to make ends meet on one paycheck. It's the same when men are stay at home dads. I wouldn't have an issue with my husband staying home but I don't expect him to either and I except nor would he demand that of me.

Consider the situation of a married couple where a man is laid off and has to take another position at a significant pay cut. Now the couple cannot make ends meet. Given a choice between the woman taking a job or the couple giving up their residence, it's clear that she should work to bring in extra income.

Yes, you're way off base. Every person is different. Some women are child rearers, some strive to have productive, healthy careers. If you're one or the other it may be hard to understand the other side. But that doesn't make the other side's decision wrong or bad.

Women who work all day and take their kids to daycare are some of the best moms out there. They just want something more out of their lives. They need stimulation, adult interaction, goals, etc.

Yes, you are wrong for thinking that ALL women should be "domestic engineers", "homemakers" or "housewives." That is a CHOICE that couples should make between themselves. If you aspire to be that, then that is OK, Fine n Dandy, A-OK with me. I CHOOSE to be more pro-active with my life. My man may bring home the bacon, but I bring home the FILET MIGNON!

All women should have the option to be housewives, but not be forced into the role. And what about same sex couple or single moms? Women are equal to men, the only differences in our abilities comes from society

If you are serious about this question I'd say "yes, you are wrong about this." Women should contribute to a marriage or relationship in any way they are capable. If that means that they are home makers then that's great. If they are good in an office setting then so much the better. Whatever makes them happy and satisfied.

women should be housewives if that is what they want to do. i dont think ever woman should be forced into the "housewife" position...many women have intelligence, creativity and power enough to change the world and should not only be confined to doing the laundry and making dinner. take for instance condolleza, sandra day o'connor, princess diana, mother theresa etc....if those women sould have been only housewives then this world would have suffered more greatly without thier insight.
