Do you think society is accepting too much and perhaps these kids need better discipline by their parents? What do you think started all these kids threatening to shoot up their schools? We have already had 2 or 3 schools closed up for a day because of threatening notes put in the bathrooms or called in the schools threatening another Virginia like incident. Kids seem to be acting out evil these days, beating each other up in the cafeteria, bringing guns to school, forcing police officers to walk the halls to manage the crime in the classroom.. Who is responsible for all this?

It all started when we asked God to leave our schools. He's a gentleman. He left. He's now been replaced with chaos, violence, hatred, and children who have ZERO respect for the value of human life, including their own. No God=No self worth.

Parents are! They refuse to spank a child who clearly needs one. They defend their guilty children to the school and to the law when necessary instead of cracking down on the child. They give them everything they want and then cant figure out why the child is unhappy - cant have everything. They throw good money after bad instead of just plain giving the kid a good old fashioned spanking.

If we stopped spoiling our children rotten, forced those children who are bullies and teasers to straighten up or suffer the consequences ( thus allowing other children to grow up with out their bullying and teasing), insisted on decent manners and behavior, taught them how to act by acting decent ourselves our children and our world would be much better off.

Zero tolerance and strict discipline is what is needed. I have a hard enough time raising, and teaching my children right and wrong. I have neither the time or desire to raise someone Else's. If parents can't or won't be parents, then the state should step in. Its time to show these children that there are consequences for bad behavior. I'm for suspensions, detention, and juvenile facilities to lock the up.

To blame only the parents is to grossly mis-understand the tumultuous onslaught of information bombarding our children every hour of every day. Parents, TV, movies, games, the internet, teachers......all play a role in shaping the minds of children. The continued sexualization of children is disgusting. Society plays a part in this as well. It is NOT just the parents fault. It is a complete societal breakdown.

Well we may say parents are responsible. But who are really responsible are the teens themselves. Peer pressure cause teenagers to do all kind of stuff. They press each other so much. There is so much crazy things going on. Specially in this country. And they are getting worse everyday.

Teens are crazy these day, you can just see the way they express through others in the Internet and in real life. High school students press so much in other, it cause teens to do crazy stuufs and behave crazy.

Yes I agree with the other people that parents are somewhat responsible.

BUT, I also think that these child laws are also a cause for this violent behavior. I think a spanking here or there (not overdoing it of course) is always good for the child. However, nowadays you can't touch your own child without being arrested.

I think they had piss poor *** parents that did not discipline them the "old school way", growing up we just had to get THE LOOK from my father and we knew better than to act like a fool! People and their time out crap is for the birds, these kid's to me are a product of "TIME OUT"!

Let's just put them all in a great big time out and then hug them so we don't hurt their feelings.

Oh wait - it's that crap that got us in this situation in the first place! Parents need to stop this coddling and worrying about little Johnny's psyche and start worrying about his future!

Spare the rod, spoil the child. All the garbage about you abusing your kid if you give him a good old fashion spanking. Never hurt me any, made me think twice about doing something I shouldn't.

Sometimes, the drug companies are to blame.
Many of the better-know school shooters were taking anti-depressants.
