Denver Broncos; they have upgraded the roster from a team that just missed the playoff last year. Travis Henry will be big for them.

In no particular order:
Carolina - They have the solid defense & good skill position players on offense. If Delhomme has a better year & the running game can rediscover its scoring touch, they could return to contention this season.
San Francisco - Frank Gore is an impressive RB & Alex Smith is only getting better. They've made significant improvements through free agency and the draft & could contend in a weak division (they beat Seattle twice last season).
Pittsburgh - Post-Super-Bowl hangover put the team in an early hole, but they won 6 of their last 8. There's a lot of mystery about what direction Mike Tomlin will take this team, but the new coach certainly has the talent around him to keep the team in playoff contention.
Cincinnati - The had their playoff destiny in their hands & they just dropped the ball. They have the offense & have made strides on defense this offseason. If they can keep the off-the-field incidents in check, they should be in the playoffs.
Jacksonville - They have the running game & they have the defense. And the division leader Indianapolis is starting to age & show cracks this offseason.

I believe with all of the new additions to the Broncos roster and Travis Henry getting the running game back on track, not to mention Jim Bates as the new defensive co-ordinator the Broncos will definatly make the playoffs and probably win their division. If Cutler has a break out season the sky is the limit.

The Cardinals because they are in sync with each other. Edgerrin James has gotten better with the offense. They drafted a good Offensive Tackle in Levi Brown. Matt Leinart has already shown that he can lead the team to the playoffs and beyond. They have a better chance of protection from the Offensive Line this year. They probably or should have a better protection and less sacks on the offense.

Steelers and Jags have the two most talented teams not to make the playoffs last year. The Steelers are a lock but the Jags did not improve their offense in the offseason. In the NFC The Bucs have a good shot as do the Carolina Panthers.

this is easy. denver barely missed the playoffs last year, cause they got rid of plummer when they were still in first place. now, it's looking pretty good for the broncos as cutler has some experience. the only question is whether denver finds a replacement for al wilson and someone other than travis henry at rb. i hate that ******

Any team that did not make it last year CAN make it this year given the level of balance in the league. If you're asking who is likely to make it, then I choose:
Denver
Buffalo
Jacksonville
Cincinnati
Tennessee
Carolina
San Francisco
Not all will, but I'd guess they'll be in the chase.

As long as the Bengals rid themselves of the off-field distractions, they should have a good shot at making it back to the playoffs. In the NFC, it's anyone's guess.

Pittsburgh Steelers. Last year was a fluke since our QB was almost killed in the offseason, and was still allowed to come back and start. Then he had an emergency appendectomy and a concussion. He'll be recovered this year and their new motivated coach will take them back to the playoffs.
