the average length of games in the American League has increased from 2 hours 30 minutes to about 3 hours. In the World Series, it's even longer. Last year the games averaged over 3 hours and 30 minutes.

It really depends on who the starting pitchers are and how fast they work. i would say 4 hours TOPS but more likely around 3 1/2 hours IF the game it dosen't go into extra innings.

Tv is a big reason. Also all the time we get in the late innings with special relievers coming in and taking up time. Back then there wouldn't be those kind of delays for the warming up of a new pitcher
