Nope. You should be there to fill out/sign the marriage application. Some places will allow one member of the couple to pick it up alone as long as they bring with them an application signed by the other person and that person's goverment issued ID. Look up marriage liscence issuing on the website of your local city hall and it should tell you exactly what you need to do to obtain one.

It's going to depend on the state you are in. I know in Utah both members of the wedding party had to be there together in order to pick it up because you get it at the court house and have to sign a bunch of paperwork. I would look up the number to where-ever it is you get your marriage license from, call them and explain the situation and see what they tell you. :)

If your talking about when you apply for a license to get married then no both people have to be there. If it's just a copy of your license then you can get it mailed to you.

anyone can pick up the license but only the person getting married can sign it in front of the clerk along with the man to marry.

i don't know what state you're in, so the process may be different, but when i went to apply we got it right then and there, so no, no one else could pick it up for us. however, only one of us had to be there to do it.

Yes, anyone can pick it up for you after you and your fiance have already gone down to apply.
