your symptoms sound very similar to those of polycystic fibrosis. Nothing to be alarmed about, but you really need to go to your GYN or whoever prescribed you the birth control. (I am of course assuming they did a pelvic before prescribing them.)

You need to go see the gyno, bleeding for 3 weeks isn't normal at all. And no, you're not suppose to have sharp pains but then again, every woman is different. Make you an appointment and see what's goin on.

Good luck

I had that happen once. It turned out I only needed a monophasal birth control instead of tri-phasal. The doc put me on the nuvaring and I haven't had any pain or strange periods since. It was almost like an instant cure!

Um, how do you know it's your ovaries that are hurting? If you are having pains, how do you know it's from birth control? This sounds made-up, but if it's real just go to the doctor.

sharp pains in your ovaries could be ovulation and it's not uncommon to have spotty bleeding between periods. If it's really inconvenient (and it sounds like it is) have your dr. switch you to something different.

How long has this been happening?

I would get to the doctor asap about this.

If I bled for more than 10 days I'd be on the phone to the doctor.

You should probably consult the physician that prescribed that to you.
