Don't worry. Every woman develops in her own time. My older sister was 15 when she started her period. I was 11. My best friend was 17. You'll have the rest of your life to deal with periods. Be thankful now. You may never have large breasts or lots of other things you wish you did. For every other girl out there, they'll be jealous of you that you can eat alot and not gain weight or that you don't have back problems because of large breasts. There's nothing wrong with you. Periods come in their own due time. As long as you're getting a clean bill of health at your doctor check ups I wouldn't worry. Next time you go see your pediatrician, feel free to talk about impending menstruation though. She'll be glad to tell you all about it, an if you're still concerned she can do a quick exam to make sure everything is ok, which I'm sure it is!

Ask your mom when she got her period... if she was also a late bloomer, then you might well be too.
14 is not worryingly old to not have gotten your period. If you don't get it by 16, then you should probably get checked out by a doctor to make sure nothing is askew. But at 14 you don't need to stress yet. As far as the breast thing, for many girls, breast development doesn't really get revved up until they've started their periods (this was the case for me and now the twins are C-cups). You can always buy a padded bra if you want to look a little more developed.

Seriously, don't be jealous of your friends that already have it. I didn't start until I was 17, which is the same age my mother started. I suggest finding out when your mom started because I know that genetics plays a big part in your development. Let me assure you, you are fine. The only thing that you are missing out on is a huge inconvenience and the ability to get pregnant, which at your age shouldn't matter. It will happen when it happens and then you will miss the days that you didn't have it.

For now I'll tell you that you need to 'just wait and let things develop naturally' ... but if you still don't start 'developing boobs' in the next six months (which should come BEFORE you start getting your periods), then you should see a doctor to be 'checked' to see if you need some 'help' to start your 'puberty' going 'full blast' ... at 14, you are 'on the upper edge of normal' to get your first breast tissue forming, and having periods shortly after ... but by 15, you are 'overdue' and need to be checked out by a good doctor. The fact that you are having 'discharge' (presumably white and sometimes 'pinkish') is a 'good sign' that you are just a 'late bloomer' ...

Don't worry about it. My older sister was 17 before she started her first period and she too was flat and thin. She is now 65 and still gets her period. Everyone is different. It doesn't mean there is something wrong with you, you're just a slow bloomer. Enjoy it while you can because once you get it, you'll wish it never happened. You will get it, don't worry. Just relax and let nature take it's course, you'll be fine.

You're still young! Around about 14yrs old is an average time to start your period, but some girls don't start till their 16 or so! Be greatful you don't have them yet, because once you get them you'll wish you hadn't!! Don't worry about your boobs either, your body continues to grow until you're about 21 so there's plenty of time. You'll probably get a sudden growth spurt and you'll start to develop boobs. Don't worry about it, everyone goes through puberty at different ages. If you're still concerned, try speaking to your mum and see when she went through puberty - if she was a late developer you might find that you will be the same. Don't worry about it hun, everything will happen in time =]

No nothing is wrong with you, everyone starts developing at different rates. Be glad you don't have a period yet, there isn't anything fun about it! I was almost 15 before I had my period. Usually you can ask your mom and grandma when they had theirs and you can do an estimation. Don't worry about your breasts, give them time. You can buy a slightly padded bra so you wont feel embarrassed. There are also water bras and pads that can Velcro into your bra to make you look fuller. Ask mom she can help. You can get these at Victoria's Secret or Fredricks of Hollywood. In your local mall. Good-Luck Sweetie.

Its normal. I was the same way. Active and then I quit the sports but I didn't get my period until I was 15. Every girl is different. You'll get it don't worry. Mother Nature just isn't in a hurry with you...she wasn't with me either but I'm 20 now and everythings fine. Don't worry things happen when they're suppose to.

Some girls don't start their period til they are as old as 16 years old. You could start at any time though. As for weight, yes, our weight can affect what happens to our period.
I would also discuss your concerns with your mom and if you can't do that another female family member or a trusted female adult friend. Also, please discuss this issue with your dr at your next check up for so that you can get even more additional information.

NORMAL! Lucky you.
I didn't start mine until 14 and my grandmother until 15.
I was called flat as a board in JR. High. Made me mad but not because I wanted breasts, but because I didn't want to be identified as a whole person unless I had boobs, so I wanted to kick those scrawny boys in the butt.
I was very active and preoccupied to really care anyway.
It will happen very soon and then you will wish it didn't.
