I have several 8" pots with Gerbers facing north on the back porch. They did OK for a few days but are getting sadder and sadder. Can I save them? Do they just not do containers very well?

It sounds like they are not getting enough sun. They do great in pots, but they like a reasonable amount of sunshine. Generally, the north side of a home/apt won't get enough sun for them (unless you are in the southern hemisphere.). Check to see how much sun they are getting (and as a quick reminder, check they get enough water).

I've had Gerbers in pots and they do extremely well, make sure you don't let them get dry or they will wilt very easily .I water mine almost every day and they like direct sun.

Gerbera daisies are sun lovers. You have them facing north so they are not getting enough sun. Gerbera daisiies do fine in pots. I see them in a lot of floral arrangements. Trying getting them into full sun and see if they recover.

They need 1 gallon pots or larger and drip pans. They are big drinkers and big feeders. Sounds like yours are dying for a drink of water. They will let you know when they are thirsty, resilliant though and should perk up within minutes.

I have some in pots and have not had any problems. Do you have them in potting soil? I was using Miracle-gro soil, but had to add perlite to it so the soil wouldn't compact too much.
