Capris look good on everyone, assuming they are the right pair for you. Also button-up blouses conceal a lot. Find some cute short-sleeved or 3/4 sleeved ones. I never wear shorts even in the summer and the right pair of flare-legged jeans will keep you cool and also make you look thinner. The darker they are, the better.

no matter what size, it is always better to go in the store and actually try out the clothes because you never know how a type of fabric or shape will fit you unless you try it on. sizes truly vary, depending on the size, make, fabric, etc. as for styles, i recomend reading cosmo!girl and seventeen magazines and watch "What Not to Wear" on TLC on friday nights at 9pm pacific and saturday mornings at 10 or 11am pacific
