It really depends what you personally are in the mood for...
Shrek 3 is a comedy although animated can possibly be a funny movie... The First one was good cant say that i watched the second one.... another thing to take into consideration it that it is a new movie, i believe it came out today... so there is a chance of a crowd. I cant say much more on this because to be honest i havent seen it yet..
I have seen Spiderman 3 and it is more of an action pack drama... to be honest i think that they went overboard with the villians in the movie... but it was interesting... there were some cheesyness in the movie... but it is based off a comic so it was alittle bit expected.. there were some comedic moments in the movie and also it is still a love story between peter and mj. was a little dissapointed with the ending...
when it comes down to it whatever you pick is really what you are in the mood for tonight... but basically go out and enjoy yourself... im sure you will somewhat enjoy both movies...

That's a tough one. There will probably be less little kids in Spiderman 3. So you won't have to put up with giggling every 5 seconds. I haven't seen Shrek so I can't say whether it's good or not, but Spiderman 3 is!

Well, Spiderman 3 wasnt terrible, it had great fights actually. just didnt follow the comic charators well.
And im going to see Shrek 3 tonight myself, so maybe see ya there!
*Plus, if you see Spiderman the theather will be less crowded because everyone will be seeing Shrek and have already seen spidey.

Depends...are you in the mood for an action/thriller or would you prefer to laugh your butt off? If I were you, I'd see Shrek the Third. Sounds like good times.

I don't know what that other guy who answered your question was thinking, but they're not both terrible. I thought they were both great! But if I had to choose one, I would definitly choose Shrek 3! Okay, I hope I helped.
