the firing of the people who cook their meals or the firing of judges?

I think all companies need a protocol for firing anybody. The infraction is called to attention and documented. A person is put on probation. A second conference is called, if necessary.. and documented. If the infraction is not corrected, despite counseling with the employee, and despite probationary procedures, (and with everything documented on paper), then and only then, should the employee be fired... whether it is a White House cook or a U.S. Judge.

I would rather have a White House with people in it who weren't so prissy they cooked their own meals and understood what it meant to be the common man the allege to serve.

That just depends. Why were either fired? That's an objective decision, and depends on the facts.
