Nurse Lola is right. It depends on what stitches where. Facial plastic sutures are usually removed after only three or four days, to minimize the "railroad tracks" of the scar that can be left by the stitches themselves. Run-of-the-mill stitches usually are removed after a week or ten days, those over joints perhaps two weeks, and as she said, those on the sole maybe a bit longer. And some are internal and left forever.
It's not a good idea to leave them in too much longer than recommended, because they'll be more difficult to remove after a prolonged period, and the foreign material is a nidus for infection.

Usually stitches come out somewhere between 5 and 10 days depending on the type of wound it holds together...the larger the wound the longer the stitches will stay in. Leaving them in too long will make them difficult to remove as they heal over and could be a source of infection and wound breakdown if left.

Depends on where the sutures are. If they are in the top of your foot usually 12-14 days. Now if its the bottom of the foot up to 20 days because of stronger tissue. Any other part of the body anywhere from 9-14 days. Depends on the preference of the M.D. 33% is ok.

A week or so. They have been in too long if the sutures are part of a scar.
