My close friend is in love with a muslim girl and they have been romantically involved for some years now..But the girl is not sure whether her parents will accept this . but now she wants to inform them before they start looking for grooms. But afraid what will be their reaction
what is the best way you suggest to be taken for this ?
seeing many questions related to this I thought I could ask too to help my friend

Unless she is willing to abandon her family, this won't work unless he is willing to raise their children Muslim. It's their problem and they are going to have to work it out.

I was in same situation although i was the non religious girl and the guy i loved was a Muslim. Depending how serious the family take Islam they may except the marriage and have no problems. But if they are really strict followers, then they will either disown there child or demand that the guy convert to Islam before marriage. But the only way you can find out there reaction is by speaking with them. My guy and i spoke to his parents and even though i wasn't a Muslim they excepted me as his wife and since marriage they have excepted me as part of the family. Do not believe what people say that Muslims are terrible and strict etc, because it isn't true. Muslims are just like any other person who follows religion, some feel more strongly and are more strict about it than others. I suggest she speak to them first about it, and then arrange for them both to visit the parents. From experience, i found that the parents are unsure on the phone but when they meet you and see how happy you make there child, the natural instincts of parenting take over and they will care more for there child's happiness than following the religion if it results in there child being unhappy. The Qur'an says that "it is better not to marry an unbeliever" , not that it's forbidin. Now if he comes to her parents like a man and tries to understand Islam then it would be up to the girl. It's still her choice either way. We can's control who we fall in love with and it seems that these two have been together for a minute, so he should know about Islam through her. If he's willing to try the lifestyle for the sake of the relationship mabye the parents would be more understanding.

You can't be serious!!! From what I have seen those people will kill you over religion and they are narrow minded to the Nth degree. It is either their way; or, "die, infidel". The christian tenant of turn the other cheek and love thy neighbor are not in their religious book of worship. If the guy wants to join their religion and spend the rest of his life in then maybe he would do okay; he might consider it wiser to just be a sheepherder.

If he wants to be with his girl then he will have to convert to Muslim. If not then (if the family is really into the religion) they will disown her. It's hard to make a marriage work if their are totally different believes, I can be done but.......it is very difficult...

They've been involved for years and her parents don't know? If she's mature enough to be in a romantic relationship then she should be mature enough to stand up to her parents and be honest with them.

It could be deadly to both of them, many muslim will murder over this type of marriage.
