ok arm all the students to stop gun violence. ok now what? your in class and you hear gun shots and screaming in the hallway . what you don't see is that a student has shot a" wild eyed gunman" who was shooting kids. just then the "hero" comes in the classroom covered in blood carrying a gun, and the class opens up on him to "protect" themselves. a gun in a untrained hand is deadly to the user as well as the target. how about we give the teachers fully-auto weapons so the students can't over power the teacher. oh yeah the principal should tactical nukes to keep the teachers under control. how do we know that the V.T. gunman wasn't shooting people who HE considered a threat? who has the right to shoot who for what reason?

No one is talking about arming all students. But making it so that students of legal age can carry a weapon if they choose is only common sence.

Carrying a concealed weapon does take training, and is an enourmous responsibility.

It's not about arming everyone. That would be a bad idea for sure. Most people would be more of a danger to themselves and to the people around them because they don't have the know-how or the courage. But some people could definitely make a possitive difference.

Just because you don't want to carry a gun, it does not give you the right to deny others their 2nd Amendment right.

You don't need to arm anyone to stop "gun violence". I have owned guns all my life and never has any one of them ever been violent. My guns, and all the guns I have ever seen, are just inanimate objects incapable of being violent or peaceful. The only things you have to stop from being violent are people.

Stop anthropomorphizing inanimate objects. The only calls to arm people in schools were for those with concealed carry permits, which require you to be at least 21, pass a background check and pass a course on the responsibilities of carry, the law, and demonstrate safe handling.

I am all for gun control, if you can't control your gun, you won't hit what you are wanting to shoot.

Easier to blame the guns than humans themselves.... escapism.

Take all computers away too... save the children from pedophiles (who got tempted because of the easy access of info on the Internet!)

why on earth would anyone arm all of the students? That sounds like the first mistake.

you have the right to shoot to protect yourself or loved ones from IMMINENT danger, not just perceived danger.
