Probably an alligator or croc....they pull their prey underwater, death roll it and then the victim drowns all while struggling to escape the beast's steel-trap jaws (which is impossible unless you can somehow part with the trapped limb....) -that would be an awful way to die.
Being bitten by a venomous snake would be nasty too, but at least you can get away and you might make it to medical help.
A bull shark would be pretty awful too....(or an oceanic white-tip, tiger or the legendary great white) .....any of those will sever a limb and leave you to bleed to death. Being attacked by ANYTHING in the water is scary because you can't run and humans are pathetically slow swimmers and half the time the water is murky and you can't even see what is under you, lurking around your arms and legs....
If I could return as an animal, I'd want to be a leopard. They are intelligent, independant, resourceful, cunning and swift. And they can survive when other animals fail to thrive.

My daughter and I were at a Big Cat sanctuary when we walk past a fence that had some plywood on it blocking the view on the other side. I was looking at a big cat to the right of us when I turned to see where my 5 year old girl was. She was standing about 3 feet to my left when behind that plywood a Big Lion was stalking her and at the same time I seen it too. It was like the cat was locked on to her crawling real low then in a flash it lunged at her.
See I'm a fairly good sized man and all I could think while grabbing her and pulling her behind me was that I can't stop this 450lb Lion from getting what he wants . He never took his eyes off of her.The look in its eyes. The look of a killer. I felt so small .
It scared both of us so much we didn't even notice there was a chain link fence between the cat and us and there was know way it could get to us.
I never want to see something stalking one of my family members again.

The one I have never heard of, but has signs that it is dangerous.
I have the rare joy of not having animal phobias, due to the fact that I can overcome it with the knowledge I have of that animal. When I run into an animal I have never seen or heard of, I am a little apprehensive, unless I KNOW it's going to kill me, in which I case I'll actually get scarred.
BUT, If I know enough about an animal, say, a tarantula, I know how I can handle it. An example of this is that a Tarantula may look scary and creepy, but I know it's harmless!

human beings are afraid of sharks as a results of fact they're risky. that may not comparable to no longer being drawn to them. you're able to be "involved" by utilising sharks and nevertheless shield a wholesome appreciate for protection. Sharks are fairly progressed killing machines, that's what they do. They cruise or bask waiting for prey, they have very small brains, and that they've not have been given any objective or interest different than ingesting and mating - in what way do you think of they're misunderstood? might you opt to talk Proust with one? I agree that sharks, as with any animals, should not be slaughtered needlessly, yet shark meat is crammed with protein, and is consequently nutritious, so I have not have been given any thought the place you obtain the thought they have not have been given any nutritional cost. positioned some posters on your partitions, i assume dolphins may be your ingredient too, and leave the questions till you have carried out somewhat greater study.

Since I do not go into the water , I would not have to fear certain animals/creature. I would probably be most scared in coming between a mother grizzly or any bear and her cub. She can run as fast as me and can claw me to death and if I have a gun I had better be accurate or I have made matters worse for myself.

Depends where it was, I would happily take on a great white shark in an alleyway, but I wouldn't want to be eaten by anything, so I would have to say a tortoise

I would be most scared of meeting a swarm of wasps becasue that is the worst encouner i can think of. I first saw one when i was around four years old. I have been scared of them ever since.
In 'the next life' i would be a beetle in the middle of the rainforest. This one to be precise.

I'm least worried about sharks, bears or big cats - with a little understanding of predaor-prey behaviours you can avoid a bad situation.
What scares me most is those catfish that can swim up a stream of urine into your little man and then they extract barbs so you can't remove them.

Shark!! Whilst you're in the open water, they set the schedule! You're practically stationary compared to them, like a jet fighter against a helicopter.
