Display properties - Screen Saver tab - Power button.
The 'Turn off monitor' is the time before the system tells the monitor to hibernate.

Your monitor cannot hibernate unless you dig a hole and stick it in the ground..haha jk. Anyway, your computer is the thing that hibernates. Assuming you're using Windows XP, you can find your energy settings somewhere in the Control Panels. Hope this helped!

most newer monitors will hibernate automatically.
You can adjust windows power management settings to over ride if you like:
control panel\display\screen saver tab\power button

press the sleep button on the keyboard. it might say sleep or have a picture of a moon, then either press the same key to wake it up or press wake.
there aso might be the option in start - shutdown

click "start". click "turn off computer" press "standby" it will turn into "hibernate" click
