i heard somethin about putting those 2 on the same car so when your in the low rpms it uses the supercharger to get rid of turbo-lag and the switches over to the turbo once it spooled up!! have any of yall ever heard of that?

Yeah I've heard of it, I've seen pictures of it actually done. seems like a good idea but the work you have to put into it outweighs the benefits.

Yes, it's been done. A more common practice is using two turbochargers of different sizes. A small one to spool up quicker and a large one to take over once the small one maxes out. It's referred to as "sequential turbocharging".

i've never seen one but in Uk most VW and audi's with diesel powerplant use both turbo and supercharged together.
Also, look for Peugot and Citroen vehicles.
