Maybe about 15 min faster without delays. Maybe. Not worth the 40 to go, in my opinion.

The Ferry in not cheap. $40 + and expect delays durning rain storms.

ALso, you need reservations for the ferry coming and going. No, driving is better. skip the ferry.
