It's Muslims and the majority of them don't hate you. If they did, you'd be locked in a world wide conflict with them and seeing as they outnumber you 4 to 1, you'd probably lose.

The reason for 9/11 is unclear, your own Government is reluctant to answer questions on how they weren't intercepted sooner and evades further questioning on why the white-house tried to justify the invasion of Iraq with links to Al Quaida.

Any sane person can rationalise that Iraq was a secular country opposed to the ideals of Usama Bin Laden's "Muslim State" - both were in fact deeply opposed to each others ideals.

America has created conflict in the middle east to secure oil reserves to the east of the UAE. In 20 years time, oil will be extremely scarce and forthcoming economic giants like China and India are willing to pay just as much as the US and it's allies for Middle Eastern Crude. By Invading Iraq, it was hoped that pacification would follow and with it, opening of oil-trade routes between the US and the Persian Gulf.

This hasn't happened, instead Iraq is on the Brink of All-Out Civil War and the Persians (Not Arabs) are all too ready for America and it's allies to try and pacify Iran.

The real question you should be asking is why it that half of the White Houses senior staff, have all at one point or another, held directorships or vice presidencies of the worlds most prolific oil and gas companies?

Muslims do not hate us...many of them live in the U.S. This is a stereotype that many Americans have because of 9/11....Some extremists of the Muslim faith are using Jihad as their resoning for 9/11....Jihad is the belief that they must fight and do what is nessesary to defend their religion...but if one really studies this add on to the 5 pillars of Islam then they know that exteme acts of violence are prohibited in the Qu'ran.....However, if a Christian or a Jew were to commit such a crime elsewhere most likley they are not representing the majority of their faith and that is what has happend in the event of 9/11....

It was the Soviets that were fighting in Afghanistan, that's the U.S.S.R. not Russia on its own - you did indeed fund them with weapons and training, much like you did with the viet-mihn against the French Indo-china forces - they consequently turned on you again in the form of the viet-cong with help from the Soviets, so cat-calling about who screwed who won't get you anywhere.

George Bush Snr had a vested financial interest in Saudi oil and Kuwaiti oil, that is the sole reason for US Intervention against Iraq. During the Persian War (Iran/Iraq) both the US and the UK gave munitions and missile technology to both sides, having no foresight that creating instability in the region would bite them in the **** 20 years down the line. So claiming it was out of goodwill doesn't wash, Missy.

You did indeed promise help to the Kurds, but also to the Shina and Sunni's oppressed by Saddam, when the revolt began and the US held back, TENS OF THOUSANDS of them were slaughtered.

The Mogadishu firefight that involved shooting down black hawk helicopters was actually perpetrated by RPG's (Rocket Propelled Grenades) not stinger missiles. Stinger missiles are not mobile munitions like LAW (light armour weapons) and require mounting due to the static force the missile creates.

The answer, in my opinion, is never openly spoken about for some reason. The first "death to America" talk and rallies coming from "militant Islam" that I recall started as a reaction to Carter's brokering the peace treaty between Egypt and Israel back in 1979. Immediately after that, the militant factions in the middle east began going ballistic...we took away from them their strongest military ally against Israel. As my memory serves, the jihad being against US was never at that level before then.
it was truly dumbfounding....and SCARY that few remember it.

Most muslims hate the US due to several decades of US foreign policy in the middle east. We installed the Shah in Iran, then supported Saddam against Iran (basically installing him as dictator of Iraq). Then we invade Iraq to remove Saddam because he stopped playing ball. Meanwhile the civilian population continues to pay the price in blood.

We continue to screw around over there - primarily for oil (anyone denying that needs to wake the f**k up) - and then wonder why the radical extremist muslim leaders are able to drum up so much anti-american support.

The reason for 9/11 was that a radical muslim leader was able to recruit blind followers, and train them to pull off a heinous attack. The reason he was able to get away with it was that the current administration ignored repeated warnings - including the 'bin laden determined to strike in US' pdb that Dubya ignored.

It worked out conveniently for this administration though - their PNAC agenda specifically made reference to the need for 'another pearl harbor' in order to get their agenda moving quickly.

They got their 'pearl harbor' on 9/11, and have exploited it thoroughly. Every single security agency has issued reports showing that instead of decreasing support for terrorist groups - Dubya and co.'s invasion and subsequent occupation has been a terrorist recruiters wet dream.

Impeach Dubya - But impeach Dick first.

When Afghanistan was in a war with Russia, we funded and provided weapons to his army in order to defeat Russia. We failed to provide promised support of Afghanistan.
Later when Iraq invaded Kuwait, Bin Laden offered his army,to push back Saddam, he did want our troops landing in Saudi Arabia or holy ground. Saudi Arabia had no faith in him and picked us to protect Kuwait and them. Our government is two faced when it comes to the ME. We promised the Kurds support if they would rise up against Saddam, they did, we didnt provide them with said support and they were slaughtered. We overthrew Irans democratically elected President in the 50s and installed the Shah in power, he was corrupt. There are numerous reasons why Bin Laden and friends hate us. All culminating in an attack on 9-11........Oh and Somalia, when they used stingers to shoot down black hawks, yeah we taught them how to do that.

I almost forgot our blind support of Israel and classifying all governments that dont toe the line with our government terrorists.

Islam does not tell you to kill innocent people...
