Stamps always go up. But with the Forever stamp, you won;t throw old ones away after finding them in a drawer in a year.
Gas has gone up, and the more I think about it, I'm amazed it isn't more expensive than it is. Gas prices were very low after 9/11, in 2002. It's after the Iraq War that the price skyrocketed.
Taxes are actually down a bit, but still gouging the little guy and giving breaks to the richest 5% of America.
I'm a Democrat, by the way. There's plenty of things to knock the current administration for, in my opinion, but gas is the only thing I can really point to and say, 'cause and effect'; stamps have actually improved under the Republicans, while taxes are kinda the same, while looking better on paper for the poor.

I'm sorry - but stamps?? I've never seen the price of stamps drop - in fact I'm pretty sure they rise ever 2-3 years.
Gas price is not determined by the party in power - haven't you heard of OPEC? We essentially let the Saudis determine the price of our gas. I have an idea - why don't we use our OWN oil resources? Then not only could American companies (I'm sure with the help of Washington) determine the price per barrel, we could also start EXPORTING to other countries (something we don't do a whole lot of anymore).
And taxes? Both parties do a crappy job with taxes - I'm for the FairTax.

You obviously must be a very young individual...
NEITHER the price of stamps or gas has gone DOWN in the last 70 years !! It's a little thing called INFLATION !!
Taxes ? Gee, Bush lowered taxes.... Clinton didn't.
I DO laugh though, because prior to THIS Administration, Republicans were known as TIGHTWADS... rarely wanting ANY money spent except on Defense.

Most if not all Conservatives are big business men not much better than the average lobbyist. Their interests isn't in us or the U.S. it's in the business or corporation. Bush Saudi oil, look at Enron (Cheney). Look at this Albert Gonzales thing going on. Most if not all are sold out and corrupt. The same people Wolfawitz, he isn't a new voice. The same people have been doing the same thing over and over. Lies for money G.O.P. Neocon our agenda in the Middle East isn't even ours anymore.

Because theyve got to find a way to screw you.
"Liberals" do it just as well as "Conservatives".
(Just so you know, liberals occupy the hill now, and the white house, and pretty much every other portion of the gov't-conservative America is dead. It has been replaced with religious conservatism masking their liberal policies)
