Sunshine Mac Gillicutty,"The new chick in town", the love Of Matt Dillon's life, and that undying love was mutual between the two. Sunshine didn't feel threatened by Kitty, nor the fact, that once more "Miss Kitty was in a tizzy".
Miss Kitty's relationship with Matt was over, and Kitty knew this and yet she continued to make a spectacle of herself in front of the whole town.
Sunshine, stood in front of her mirror, and, she told herself, with a smile"Hell hath no furry..." Once in for all Miss Kitty...You are fixing to see, that Matt's heart ain't big enough for the two of us. "Desperate times call for desperate measures",and Sunshine knew Miss Kitty was desperate. Sunshine, took her time, making sure that her hair was fixed just so, so. She put on the dress that Matt liked so much....she looked really fitten! Sunshine looked in the mirror, smiled and with much confidence....the time was right. She wrapped her shawl around her shoulders and walked out the door. She decided to take the horse and buggy tonight. She made the signal for her horse, and she was off,for "Dodge City on a Saturday Night". She almost giggled, as she rode the short distance into Dodge.
For whatever reason...the towns people didn't recognize her, as she boldly drove into town. Maybe because it was late and most of the crowd who were on main street were drunker than cooter brown. Sunshine could hear Miss Kitty yelling at the top of her lungs, she could tell that Kitty was also very drunk....Sunshine smiled.
Sunshine pulled up infront of the Long Branch. She confidenty walked up to the swinging door of the Long Branch. She stepped just inside the door and stopped, and gave everyone one of her beautiful, in control smiles. Kitty, on the other hand, had not seen her, and continued to rant and rave about Matt Dillon being her man. Total silence came over the Long Branch....everyone was in awe of Sunshine standing at the door, including Matt Dillon. As Matt began proudly walking towards Sunshine, Miss Kitty yelled "Matt Dillon get your *** back here. Sunshine didn't speak a word. Matt was under the influence of "Love Potion #9"...and he knew it. Matt walked up to Sunshine, picked her up and kissed her right on the mouth, for what seemed like an hour. As Matt carried Sunshine out the door and sat her ever so gently into the buggy, he gave the horse the signal and the two of them, rode out of Dodge.
If Miss Kitty had allowed herself to remain sober, she might have finally got the drift.....

I arrived in Dodge City on a Saturday night for a game of poker and to drink a few with the new chick in town .While I was minding my own business, I heard gunshots being fired. As Matt was about to leave , Miss Kitty yelled "Matt Dillon, get your *** back here!" She went for her shotgun . I said to myself : "Miss Kitty is in a tizzy." I ran to get Festus and Newly because desperate times call for desperate measures. In the meanwhile ,I noticed Doc and I said"Miss Kitty got her shotgun out and she is mad at Matt for something." Doc explained to me that Hell hath no fury that a woman scorned . I asked Doc why would he say such a thing. He told me that this was the third time in a week that she believed Matt was about to propose marriage and it was the third time that gunshots were fired at the same time. I said I knew that Matt believed in being a bachelor while being Marshal but I did not think he was as desperate as that to avoid the confrontation. Doc said he isn't but he thinks both are the same thing . If he gets married , it is the same as being shot down by an outlaw in the street.

The writer set the scene: Imagine Dodge City on a Saturday night. Miss Kitty is in a tizzy because the new chick in town had decided to setup her own saloon and most of Miss Kitty’s usual customers went there to spend their fun money! Well, desperate times call for desperate measures so Miss Kitty tells Sam the bartender she is going to the saloon to have it out with “Miss New Chick.” As she steps out of her saloon she sees Matt heading for the new saloon and yells, “Matt Dillion get your a s s back here!” Matt, being a smart man and knowing that hell hath no fury like a woman scorned, obediently trots back to Miss Kitty who tells him to have Sam give him a beer while he waits for her to return. “Miss New Chick”, will find out why the chicken crossed the road in Dodge City tonight!

It was typical Dodge City on a Saturday night....things never as they seem. Sunshine, the new chick in town, was pounding down the local popskull at Slim's watering hole, a favorite of the ladies, as this was the place where Matt Dillon could show up. And Sunshine knew it.
She turned to look at the opening door and swallowed her mouthful of whisky quickly: Matt had just walked in. All the ladies turned and smiled. Matt scanned the tavern....and headed straight for Sunshine. Her heart began to buck like a wild bronco. Or maybe it was the last swallow of whisky.
He smiled at her. "Wow. We haven't had someone this gorgeous in Dodge City since Miss Kitty was a young gal."
Sunshine's heart raced even faster. She smiled coquettishly at Matt and scanned his exquisitely muscled physique. Tonight was going to be her lucky night....or so she thought. She didn't know that hell hath no fury like Miss Kitty.
Suddenly Sunshine felt herself hit the hard barroom floor. Wincing in pain, she looked up at her attacker....and heard her dreamboat say, "Well, well....Miss Kitty is in a tizzy. You hadn't been all that spunky lately, and I figured, well, desperate times call for desperate measures. I knew talkin' to this sweet thang would get you all hot and bothered, just like I like ya."
Miss Kitty just smiled as she took Matt by the hand and walked toward the door. They didn't turn around, but they knew who it was that yelled, "Matt Dillon, get your *** back here!!"
