this is how is see it....CBS asked it's viewers to watch this story they were telling....and to become loyal viewers. they gave us an intresting and entertaing show with an original idea and amazingly talented actors..so we did.....in watching this story we became familiar with the storyline and began to caring about the lives and experiences of the characters. they became a part of our lives through our conversations with others and even our own thoughts. The season finale was fantastic....what a cliffhanger.....we were left to excitedly wait until next season to see what would occur after that first shot of the battle...what the war would bring and who would survive. the waiting so difficult because the characters had become important .....then CBS announces the 'uh we are not going to finish the story...there will be no conclusion....all the characters that you care about will no longer exist to finish their story. it is over...done...the end..NOT FAIR.

You should visit the Jericho message boards at cbs.com, or go to www.jericholives.com. There's a lot of upset people who are becoming very active in either getting this show back on the air or having a real finale filmed.

I hated the cliffhanger - I could not believe they killed off a character like Johnston. Poor writing there. There was no reason whatsoever to do that unless Gerald McRainey just wanted off.

But we liked Jericho a lot, and seeing it cancelled really disgusted me. If fans can do something - and Star Trek proved that the fan base of a show really can muster power with the network when they want - it will be great. But, don't hold your breath. CBS needs space for its new Reality show, Kid Nation, or Let's Strand the Kids and See How Long It Takes for "Lord of the Flies" to Come to Life", and let's not forget its imaginative new PI show, "Buffy The Vampire Slayer Meets Magnum PI", also known as Moonlight.

Jesus wept.

I've never really liked shows that continue from week to week because of the possibility(although it doesn't always happen)that the show could get cancelled, leaving viewers hanging-it's not fair. In the case of Jericho, the mistake CBS made was putting it on midseason hiatus, then expecting viewers to remember where it left off when it did return. By the time it returned, most people had forgotten about it,thinking it had been taken off for good. Well, now it has,and CBS has only itself to blame.

I agree with you. If we can't have more seasons of Jericho, we at least deserve some closure with maybe a movie or mini-series. But I'd rather have more seaons of course. Jericho is one of the best shows I've seen in a long time and it should have had the chance to continue. Hopefully CBS or someone will realize this and it can go on.

They definitely owe us a proper finale. I HATE when networks just cut a show without ending it - especially when they leave it as a cliffhanger. Does anyone remember Models, Inc. from years and years ago - it ended with a wedding scene and someone getting shot. 14 years later and I'm still bummed cuz I don't know who it was! :-) Or how about Invasion 2 years ago - what was up with that? Great cliffhanger ending there! I could go on and on, but I'll spare you all from my TV angst! :-)

i recognize this teach too and am very disenchanted it truly is canceled. i recognize for different shows that human beings have performed petitions, e mail the community and so on and it would not look to artwork. the unhappy ingredient is I study that it wasn't until eventually they'd that lengthy hiatus that it lost rankings so rather it truly is the networks own fault :( I form of desire they offer some form of closure for us visitors who like it.
