You may not be able to clean it. Check the tag and see if it says anything because if you use any cleaners it-it could ruin the jacket. After you have done that if it doesn't say anything about treating the leather with chemicals you have a 50/50 chance that it'll be okay when you use leather cleaner. But if it does say something try going to leather cleaner, maybe you should just do that. The only problem with that is that they can be expensive.

Try some liquid leather cleaner on the jacket. On the liner get some Oxy-clean or other oxygen bleach and dab a paste on it

i have a leather coat (real leather) and it stunk when i first got it ( second hand shop)
i had learned that i can do my own so called '' dry cleaning'' easily at home,,,
just put it in the washing machine on gentle cycle , warm water, and just a very small amount of baking soda ( 1/4 cup for a small load of water ) ; ( 1/2 cup for medium ) ; ( 1 cup for large )
let it run through the gentle cycle, then take out and hang up to let dry, about every hour check it and change the way its hanging, if not it will dry in the exact shape its hanging in ( that goes for any clothes hung up wet to dry) meaning if you hang it like you normally do on a clothes hanger - where ever the hanger ends like around the shoulders area will be shaped that way when dry,
but it is easy to just go each hour and change positions of how its hanging ,,,,,,,,,, or if you have one of them flat drying racks like is used for drying sweaters, you could use that,,,
the baking soda will kill the sour smell and clean the material at the same time,
or if you are scared to put anything on it , that it may mess up the leather,
you can run it through the washer as i said with just plain water,
anyway i found that i can do all my dry cleaning with the baking soda this way, works great and is cheap,
hope this helps,
kay

I would check the lable and see how it tells you to clean it before you do any thing else. Then I'd go and check the cleaning department at Wal-Mart. I remember seeing a product to clean leather at Wal-Mart the last time I was there.

To clean the leather use Saddle Soap you can redresss it by using Boiled linseed oil as far as the milk stain on the lining is concerned I bet by this time it is rather smelly milk is like this . Could you dab it with vinegar ? see if this lifts the stain or gets rid of the smell otherwise dilute 20vol peroxide in water and gently dab dont soak the leater as this will fade it just gently on the lining . Rinse and dry gently out of the sun
I think also you should have had words witht he someone about footing a cleaning bill !
