Both are too expensive and don't do what they are suppose to do. On both my kids we used Luvs. Blue and purple package, and they rock!!! Cheaper, and really do the job. My husband would rather poke his eyes out than clean crap that has shot all the way up a certain little someones back, down to even fill up a shoe!
Luvs size 4 is what we get. My daughter is 21 pounds.

When my little guy was in size 2 and lower, I liked Pampers Swaddlers (and desperately wished they came in bigger sizes).
Once he was on the move, though, Huggies Supreme seem to be the best. I've heard others suggest the same: Huggies for boys, Pampers for girls.
I've tried a lot of store brands, and haven't had any significant problems- the only diapers I've purchased and couldn't stand were Luvs. Their sizing is way off, and there isn't a lot of "give" in the waistband, meaning if your kid is sitting and crawling and walking and standing, you have to put the diaper on pretty tight to keep it on.
The only time I've ever had a poop leak was when my kid was less than 4 months old, and he was breastfeeding all the time, and I didn't notice a difference in diapers as far as keeping it in.

I've used both pampers and huggies on my 10 month old son. Pampers caused his bottom to become irritated every time he wore one...didn't matter if we bought the pampers cruisers/swaddlers, still affected him the same way. Huggies have been the best for my son...they do leak occasionally only at night time, but then again what diaper is expected to last for 12 hours at a time and not leak? I think that whatever works for your baby is fine, every baby is different, what works for one doesnt work for another

Agree! Huggies are just a poop explosion waiting to happen. I'm using Luvs right now and they seem to be ok...but have gotten some diapers with various missing parts, like the little closure tabs etc. I tried the walgreen's brand when she was a newborn. They were extremely comparable with Pampers. So when I've used up these Luvs (down to my last pack of all the free diapers I was given :(( ) I'm going to try them again.

well i have had 4 babies and i stand by pampers as they do not leak half as much as huggies, the only thing that huggies has going for it is the Winnie the pooh on the front of some of their diapers.
i have a daughter who is 4 1/2 yrs old and is in a wheelchair now and will be and i have and will continue for the remainder of her life and pampers is what i will continue to use on her as they hold better and when you have a $17,000.00 wheelchair you don't want any spills, leaks anything and the Pampers work great
Good Luck

I have learned that with my son, pampers as a newborn was fine...then they started smelling like urine way too much as he got older. I tried huggies...he would leak...then i tried LUVS, they worked for a whole month. I went back to pampers...even worse with the smell and wouldnt hold his urine as well. Huggies finally worked the best once he turned like 6 months old. They dont smell and they never leak. But girls and boys are totally different when it comes to what diapers are best. I think LUVS would work well for her. But if pampers is what you like then thats great!

I use Huggies because I can get the huge pack from Costco and it is cheaper that way. I haven't had any problems with leaks. All in all, though I prefer Pampers swaddlers/cruisers. They seem to move easier on my 5 month old daughter. I am actually going to switch back to pampers cruisers because my daughter is more mobile now.

I think it depends on the shape of your baby. I prefer Pampers and when you try out the cheaper band and you have to change them the moment they pee or you will be wet too pampers and huggies are worth it. Im not saying let them sit forever in it but all the other brands leak like luvs, walmarts cheap brands, targets cheap brands all of these suck!
