Except for the gay marriage thing, you sound like a Republican. Fat chance of finding a Democrat who is against abortion.
But here is a website to check for yourself:
www.ontheissues.org
It has the political leanings of everyone running for office, and a quiz you can take and it will tell you who agrees with your political opinions more.

I have somewhat similar views to you, which is funny. Although I am an registered independent, I tend to vote Democrat. That said, whereas one person here is right that it is hard to find a Democrat that is against abortion, there are some. It is equally hard to find a Republican that thinks gays should be allowed to marry or that we should help immigrants. Further evidence that the party system sucks.
But that is not important here. I, for one, don't know who I will vote for yet. It is too early to tell who is REALLY for what and why. Most of the candidates will change their tale a lot between now and next year. Even if I did know who I would vote for, I would not tell you who to pick. You just want some way to compare and figure it out for yourself, and I really admire you for that. Unfortunately, this early in the game there is not a lot to choose from. Most of the sites up this early are biased in favor of candidates. In about a year, however, as the election draws closer, more and more objective sites will come up. In the meantime, however, here is one that is interesting, and kind of fun. It uses a quiz to match you up to someone! That said, it matched me up with Joe Biden, whom I would likely not vote for. Still, it also provides information on why it picked who it picked, so you can still learn a lot from it.
Good luck!

You are against abortion and yet want to be a Dem? You are severely outnumbered in that party.
As far as immigration, as an independent conservative I am not against legal immigration, but I am against illegal immigration and also against any type of amnesty.
You ought to check out Tom Tencredo and Duncan Hunter.
Instead of voting in loyalty to a specific party, vote for a person who will do the will of the people and serve in a manner to do what is best for the whole nation and not just small interest groups.
As far as homosexuals getting married, why?
If they are not Christian, the getting married should be no big deal and if they are Christians, why have they not repented from what God says is an abomination and detestable.
I am not against the civil union clause that allows them to have tax and family rights as a married couple.
But anyway, DON"T vote for Hitlery Rotten Clinton. She is NOT what is good for this nation at all.
Anyone who thinks otherwise either wants to see this nation fail, or they are just extremely naive', or outright ignorant and stupid and thinks that living under a " One World Government" is a good idea.
Vote for some one who hates and speaks out against gun control and believes in the sovereignty of the United States.
Rudy G. is pro gun control and pro one world government and also the vast majority of both the Dems. and the Reps.
As I said earlier, Tome Tencredo and Duncan Hunter are the best choices for this country and the main reason is for the sovereignty of this nation and the rights of " We The People"
To the people that give me a thumbs down, I will say thank you. You help prove what I have said.

There's no easy answer, it looks like you have a few issue that are important for you, you'll never find one political party, or candidate that a perfect match. Pick a few issues that are really important to you, and that personally effect you, then find your candidate. Also always vote in your local election, too many people skip the little ones and only vote in the big one. Believe it or not, your local election will have more impact on you than you may think. Good luck!

Congrats on being old enough to vote. Consider all of the candidates and find which ones most closely fit your own views. Dem or Rep should not be your only crteria. Now is the time to consider not only your future but the future of your country. Remember some people will promise you the moon but can't deliver....GOD bless this country

I find all of the above answers interesting.
Go to the issues site and good luck.
I agree with an earlier poster, Mr. Taco, that the party system is terrible.
George Washington was right about political parties.
By the way, as to who to vote for, WHOMEVER IT IS IT WILL BE THE WRONG PERSON.
Just vote for the one who supports more of the issues you agree with and for your duty as a citizen.
Only Jesus can save this country.

Listen very carefully to what Duncan Hunter has to say..but don't be sidetracked by liberals, who are masquerading as democrats..thats the problem nowadays....and the election isn't until 2008, so someone else might emerge..good luck

I think you will find most Republican candidates supporting gay marriage except Ron Paul. But most of them are pro-abortion except Ron Paul. Both parties like cheap labor and Ron Paul wants to eliminate any incentive for illegals to come here.

I would advise not voting. If you vote as a liberal, you will be put on the REX-84 list. Check it out on google. Be a sheep, it is the only way to survive.
