There is no reason. Existence does not have to justify itself. You are who you are because 1 in 100 million sperm managed to fertilise an egg. You are alive because all of your ancestors survived to biological adulthood. And you exist today because an asteroid, in a 1 in 1 billion chance, hit the Earth 65 million years ago, and wiped out nearly all life, particularly the dinosaurs, who had been dominant for nearly half a billion years, and would still be here otherwise.
Is that enough reasons for you? Or were you looking for deeper meaning?
Knowing that life is shallower than most people imagine is no reason not to enjoy it, or to treat people badly, or to value it any less than someone who sits around wondering what life is all about.

you ask "why do we live?" i ask why not? seriosly, if we are here, and living and breathing, then why not live it properly. why not enjoy what you do, make a little bit of money, moan about the light bulb breaking, do all of the silly, rather meaningless things that we occupy our lives with? because if we did't, we wouldn't do anything, we would all die, and yes, we will all die anyway, that much is inevitable, but whilst we are alive, why not live your life to the max, enjoying every minute of it and making sure you die happy.
