Why does the media just want to teach us Hip hop black culture, instead of the good black culture?

MTV, just has black people with hip hop and rap. It makes it seem like black people's culture is all about rap.I dont' like that. But then when i turn the channel to one of those Evangelical or christian stations. there's alot of black people in churches singing beautifully and with awesome group choir and awesome music. And they are also wonderful people.

Why dnt we get more of this black culture in TV instead of the hip hop culture

Turn MTV off. It's a music channel. Top 40 and what not. It plays what people choose, and like...all cultures, so that isn't the channel to have on, if you're trying to see a balance.
The media does a great job in portraying a balance, much better than they did before, with the church services, ethnic cooking shows, great black actors, Densel, Fishburn, Hale, amazing black athletes, and I could go on and on.

I hate to be the one to burst your bubble, but there are no good black people. They are only thinking of one thing themselves. How long ago did the civil war end, and President Lincoln end slavery. The black people are still trying to make us pay for that, I didnt have any slaves, and their havent been any slaves in this country for over 150 yrs. So i think anyone who may have had a slave is dead by now. Get over it. Black people have it much better in this country than most races, they just dont chose to do anything about it. I am not a racist, this is just what i see in the news. If Im wrong prove it. If you cant," jump off". Cause im sick of hearing all the crying, that black people are still oppressed. Prove me wrong, and I'll say im sorry, but you wont be able to.
