The Time Bike, Harry Potter 1 through 6 (Deathly Hollows not out yet), Inkheart, Inkspell, Dragon Rider, Bridge to Terabithia, Alex Rider books, and Lion Boy. But, there is a lot more. Hey, I'm only 10 years old.

There are so many. I'm mostly a fan of nonfiction.

Here are some great nonfiction books concerning social issues:
Jonathan Kozol’s “Savage Inequalities”
Power's "A Problem from Hell"
Randall Kennedy's "Ni**er: The Strange Career of a Troublesome Word"
Alex Kotlowitz's "There Are No Children Here" & "The Other Side of the River"

If you want to be the smartest person in the room during arguments about the cost of gas prices, read Yergin's "The Prize".

Do you want to learn to love architecture while reading about a serial killer? Check out Larkin's "Devil in the White City".

Are you a baseball fan? Want to impress your friends and perhaps win some bets by proving your expert knowledge of the infield fly rule? Read Hample's "Watching Baseball Smarter: A Professional Fan's Guide for Beginners, Semi-experts, and Deeply Serious Geeks".

If you want a general perspective on military activates since the 1950's and post-Sept. 11, check out the following:
Halberstam's "War in a Time of Peace"
Bowden's "Blackhawk Down"
Wright's "Generation Kill"
Gordan's "Cobra II"
Hackworth's "Steel My Soldiers' Hearts"

For biography's I recommend:
Haley's "Autobiography of Malcom X"
McCain's "Faith of My Fathers"
Manchester's "American Caesar"
Burroughs' "Running with Scissors: A Memoir"
Fischer's "Gandhi"

Some fiction books I really enjoyed are:
Jeffrey Eugenides's “The Virgin Suicides” & "Middlesex"
J.D. Salinger’s “Catcher in the Rye”
Katherine Paterson’s “Bridge to Terabithia”
James' "Children of Men"
Christie's "And Then There Were None"
Sparks "Notebook"
McCarthy's "The Road"
O'Brien's "The Things They Carried"

Enjoy.

Anything by Nicholas Sparks if you like to cry. Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood. Even though Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants is geared more towards younger girls, I enjoy the series. Laurel K. Hamilton's Merry Gentry series is alright, if you don't mind a lot of sex in your books. And of course, I highly recommend Harry Potter :)

I recommend Francine Rivers books to any woman, young or old! I would start with Redeeming Love...a novel. It is easy to read, and it will change your way of thinking about men!
