Give him a normal middle name he can use. I'm thinking Michael.
You may love Malakhi, but do you think he will? He's the one who will have to live with it.

My fave is Avery.
If you have a very plain last name like Smith or Johnson, then Id go with the other poster and keep the middle name simple.

I think it depends on the last name! The whole name has to flow I like Malakhi Tavon (tay-von). I love the name Malakhi, if you really want the name I'm sure you'll find a great middle name!! Good luck!

If you are "stuck" on Malakhi...I'm not sure what to suggest. However, after raising 3 boys, you may want to consider such a "different" name. You don't want people to make fun of him. Plus, he'd probably be nicknamed "Mal". It's a unique name, but it may be too unique. Or, maybe use it as the middle name....

Don't listen to all the boring people! My name is gaelic and, although I live in Scotland, no one ever knows how to pronounce it. At the beginning of high school I went through a period of not liking my name but I think most kids do at some point. I'm very proud of my weird Scottish name, and I'm sure your son will be proud of his Irish one!
My opinion on the middle name would be to keep it simple, something like Aidan maybe?

You need to REALLY think of your child first when naming him. As a former teacher, there is nothing worse than a difficult to pronounce, non-standard name for a child. It causes a child a lifetime of embarassment. Kudos to the person who clarified the spelling of the name, as well. "Malachi" is how I have always seen it spelled.
