I think you're just asking how to fix up your cards for your own benefit, not to deceive someone, right? I thought so. If your cards are creased, then you can take something like the blunt end of a letter opener and gently try to press out the creases. If they have gum stains or stains on them. Rub panty hose material over them, it buffs away stains. Other than this, press the cards between two heavy books. You can't really "restore" old cards, but if you just want them to look nicer, this will help. Good luck, I love my old football cards!

Such practices are frowned upon by the collector community, at least those (which is a majority) who are honest.

If you have a particularly rare or valuable card in poor condition, get it professionally graded. That, at least, will encase the card permanently and prevent further degradation.

Put a hot glue gun to that Rob Deer rookie card, and it'll be good as new.
