Kos in the Greek Islands is fantastic. Its reltaively cheap the weather is great the food is great and locals are very friendly. There is lots to do and there is plenty of culture associated with the island. Its asctually the site of the worlds first hospital when hippocrates taught medicine there(the hippocratic oath that doctors take today comes from him). There are lots of ruins as well in Kos town which are very interesting to look around.
Turkey is a stones throw away too about 30 minutes by fast ferry where you can visit the site of the museoleum which was one of the seven wonders of the ancient world. There are lots of other things to do such as the three island cruise which was great 20 euro and you lunch on one of the islands and free hire of snorkeling equipment. The island is very flat and known as island of bikes becuase of it bike can be hired cheaply locally too.
there is pretty decent nightlife too with the usual bar street although a found some bars off bar street to be better and less pushy to get you in.
All in all Kos is great and highly recommended

The Italian Lakes, lake Como, lake Garda etc.......there are a few little beaches but there's loads of culture too....the best thing about it though is that very few English knobheads go there,,so you won't get vomit strewn roads, fist fights and couples making out in alleyways.
There's dozens of beautiful ancient Italian villages dotted around the shores with lovely shops and restaurants, the scenery is spectacular, art galleries, museums - it's really got the lot for the discerning holiday maker.
It's really, really nice and you know, there's nothing as good as messing about in boats..
You may bump into George Clooney as well, he has a place there.
Have a good time wherever you decide to go.

Last year I visited Rome, but stayed at a beautiful Villa owned by a friend of an Italian friend, about 30 km outside of Rome. A train ticket costs about 3 euros, and takes about 20 minutes from the Villa. It is called Villa Germaine in Arricia owned by the Gozzi family. Go in June-mid-season, not too hot, and Anzio Beach is not too far away. It's moderately priced (about 90 euros a night, including breakfast-other meals are extra). It's beautiful and well worth it. The view of the surrounding vineyards is enough.

Go to Venice. The architecture is awesome. But my , favourite place of all time is Cornwall in the South West of England. The views are stunning. There are so many little coves steeped in history. The beaches in Newquay are stunning and many surfers go there. I live in Wales although I am not Welsh and the greenery here is not unlike New Zealand, but that is another story, don't get me started reminiscing.
Wherever you decide to go have a great time and send us some photo's.

A very nice place in Italy is Liguria, the coast between the French border and Genoa, called the "Flower Rivièra". There are fine beaches and many cultural places to go to.
Genoa the old city, Portofino, San Remo, The principality of Monaco........the sun is always shining....the sea is as blue as the sky...the bougainville is blooming.....it's wonderful over there.

Lots of places in Europe would provide you with what you are looking for. Just be sure to pick the right time of year (early September is pretty good for anywhere in Europe) and find out about the place beforehand. Enjoy your trip.

Marsascala in Malta, have been there many cases. that's a pretty fishing village actual on the coast of the Mediterranean Sea, a non violent and relaxing place, and in uncomplicated attain of many different places as Malta is fairly a small island. I additionally like Malcesine at Lake Garda in Italy, yet i assume that's somewhat extra nicely nicely-known.

Croatia is cheap, stunning coastlines, lots of islands and coasts and warm.
I was surprised at the culture there, in that it dates back nearly 2000years for some things eg in Split one or the earliest christian cathedral was built there (and it has a strong egyptian theme)....and Dubrovnik is just beatuiful.
Definately give it a look.
