HI.the question that I have maybe quite difficult.Can a windows xp pro with McaFEE trace an inbound threat?

In the past 4 months I have had multiple inbound threats.I know that I can call police and report incidents but I would prefer to do it alone.I have a friend who works(self employed)with computers that are more complex than my own.He tells me that it can be done with his computers but he doubts that it can be done with my own.Is this true?

Depends on the state of the art technology of your anti virus software.
