Witchcraft is very real, and the practice of it has been around for thousands of years; long before any Christian religion. The practice of witchcraft has nothing to do with what you see in movies or TV. It is a religious practice. Spells are nothing more than what Christians would deem prayers; it is a way of using the energy around us.

Witches do NOT worship Satan, since that entity is something Christians believe in. Witches do NOT fly on brooms, twitch their noses or wave magic wands and have things appear, disappear or change.

Witchcraft is part of a religious practice where the Earth itself is worshiped. It can be said that it is similar in this way [only] to Native American beliefs.

And for whoever is giving thumbs down to those who believe; grow up. Our 'religion' has been around longer than yours and in this country, we have a right to it. In fact, Wicca is recognized by the U.S. government as a religion.

Witchcraft is real and is practiced by many people the world over. It is a system of belief where the practicer concentrates their will and channels the energy of the universe to create change in their life. Witches call this "casting spells", and is much like a form of prayer.

Witchcraft/Wicca/Paganism, whatever you want to call it, it's very real.

I've grown up in a Pagan family and I'm a young Pagan myself. I've seen a lot of unexplainded things happen over the years. Example of this today was when I was giving my freind a tarot reading in school before class started. She wanted to know if Greg (the guy she likes) and her would ever to get together. Sure enough, minutes after it happened.

Witchcraft is a very powerful and shouldn't be taken lightly. Some believe it's real, others don't. Either way, it's always there ready to be used.

Yes, Witchcraft is real. I have been in the Craft for over 30 years; it is a religion and a way of life. But there are many things it is NOT: It is NOT Satanism. It is NOT anti-Christian. And it is NOT the 'hocus-pocus, wiggle-your-nose' crap so often seen on television. There are many things I can do, but my actions are guided by a strong set of ethics. My abilities do not depend on anyone else's beliefs (or lack thereof), knowledge or awareness.

Toostsie- What you're talking about is called the "Placebo effect" The mind's weakness to the power of suggestion.

As a Missionary Baptist, I believe witchcraft is real. It is referred to in the bible and I know people who practice it, though I (obviously) don't participate.

Yes, but not what everyone knows , the spells and black cats and stuff.
Real witchcraft is to become one with the nature and its hidden energies. Then you'll be able to to perform miracles, but we are too departed from the nature now.

No, and neither are super heroes. Witchcraft draws on superstition and slight of hand. It is like seeing a car wreck about to happen and then telling someone you willed it.
