I'm a 22 year old college graduate that it is eager to start working, but can't find good work. I'm in the state of Florida which is a bad place to work unless you want to go into real estate, mortgage, or healthcare. I have little money and still live with my parents. I just want to get away to a larger city like Washington DC or New York and start a new life.

How can I just escape the mundanity of Florida and start a new life?

Have you applied to work for companies in the areas where you would like to live? Do you have any family or friends who live near those areas who could help you get situated there?

You might have to work at a lower paying job in Florida and save up (lots) of money.
Then you could move to NY or Washington. I know that NY is an expensive area to live in, and probably Washington is also.

Good luck!

Both DC and NY are great places for finding jobs, but yet, expensive. You need to save up to head there.
