People from countries outside of the UK and Ireland (lets face it, I’m talking about the Yanks here) ask questions on Yahoo Answers UK & Ireland, when they obviously need a point of view from their own country. Same goes for those who answer a UK question with advice specific to their country. It just annoys me that they don’t realise there is a whole world outside their own country! Am I alone?

OK, Grits, Mystery_me and Babydoll, and anyone alse... To explain. I accept that when I post a question on UK&Ireland answers, you guys in the states can see it as Yahoo lumps it into the English language category. BUT, most of the UK&Ireland people (myself included) will request to see UK&Ireland questions only. Often when doing this, there are a number of questions asked by people from the states obviously requiring an American point of view. It’s these that really grate.
I’m agree getting an international opinion (I think that’s happening now) is useful, but only in context.

Unless there is a clue or an explanation of where the poster is from, I cannot know where you originate from.
If you post in English, apparently your question appears on both the UK/Ireland site and the US site. I generally stay on the US site.
Therefore, you need not be annoyed.

It is not always the fault of the questioner. Blame Yahoo. They will often lump all or most English questions together. Did you post this on Uk & Ireland? It showed up in US. I can only assume my questions also appear in the UK

Stop right there (I don't usually condone these type of things, but you just pissed me off) don't ask a question like this ever again unless you want some yank at your front door telling you that international boundaries shouldn't exist anymore. Grow up along with the rest of the world, if we ever want wars to stop, people like us need to break the walls between our differences. I hope that opened up your secluded mind of your own country and realize that you need to rethink your question next time. By the way, you just gave a bad name for yourself, I love the British.

Are you in Yahoo! US right now asking this question? I log on to my regular Yahoo! home page (I don't chose a Country) and I notice a ton of British and Indian people here. I think it's you who is coming to our (the US's) page! This question is posted on the United State Answers General - Society & Culture page--not England's page.
Maybe we should start a petition to make it so the British can't get to Yahoo at all (since it IS an American-based company). THEN what would all you limey bast*rds do, eh?

No as knowledge is worldly - just because you ask someone from another country doesn't mean they havent already asked on there own site does it - when a fisherman wants to catch fish he doesn't use his hands - he uses a net to make it easier - The wider or farther you spread your net the more replies you get.

God, you must be bored to have to worry about people from other countries answering your questions. I know sometimes there is no point in people from the usa answering cos it doesnt appply over here, but dont get your knickers in a twist over it, just read the answer they give and move on-if it means nothing to you then dont worry about it!
