It never happens. Some of us just have an air of authority that is inexorable.

Monday...
My teacher was advised to show me the exam hall (GCSEs coming up), because I'm one of these people who get nervous in a new place. So she showed me, and she went through the instructions like 3 times... making sure I understood... using plain and simple language... As if I wasn't told the same instructions about 100 times before. Then it was all like, "Do you understaaaand?" in that 'I want to help you' voice.
I mean, I don't mind, I'm happy she went through it with me. But she was patronising all the while, which was irritating!

I like to think they don't. Being 63 going on 37 it is hard sometims to tell if someone is sincere or just patronizing the old man.
