The Yanks just are not playing like a championship caliber team at the moment. The only guys playing with any heart and passion is Jeter and Jorge.
I mean the pitching is miserable due to injury and age, which overworks the bullpen. There's no excuse for their paltry offense, though.
With teams like Chicago, Cleveland, Minnesota, and Detroit fighting it out in the Central, there's just no room this year for the Yankees to make the playoffs...thank God.
Maybe, just maybe, those big time arrogant Yankee fans will finally put on a lid on themselves...even if it's for an hour I'd be happy. Amazing how many of them still talk smack on a daily basis despite their poor season.

Boston seems to have the edge on pitching this year which could be a big problem for the Yankees to overcome. I will say the Yankees as a wild card

The only way the Yankees will make the playoffs is if their pitching, batting, and the team comes alive, and the other way is if Boston has a melt down
