This may be a stupid idea, but I thought if we could find a use for co2 it may be easier to get people to do something about it. Perhaps convert it to a calcite-like material and use it like a concrete for building construction. I know that the ocean can convert co2 to limestone, over a long period of time. I thought perhaps we could speed up the process.

You are excused for coming up with this idea. Scientist have already thought of it however. I find it hard to excuse them...

Capturing CO2 from the atmosphere or before it even gets there is one of the ideas on how we could reduce the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere. Your idea is not new. Some scientists actually suggested we produce lots and lots of concrete (which reacts to CO2 the way you propose) and dump the concrete slabs into the oceans where the fixed CO2 would remain. Not a good sollution if you know a little about how concrete is produced. By heating up limestone, which contains CO2, until that CO2 is released. And released where? Well into the atmosphere of course. So making the substances capable of fixing CO2 actually releases more CO2 than it fixes (the manufacturing also requires energy which almost always produces CO2 exhaust).

Capturing the CO2 where it is produced before it enters the atmosphere is still possible as long as you have a place to put the CO2. Abandoned oil and gas wells are just about perfect. Other similars geological structures (called aquifers) that never had oil or gas would be equally ideal. Since these aquifers were able to hold relatively inert natural gasses for many millions of years, reactive CO2 gas should remain indefinatley. The norweigans have been using such structures to pump CO2, separated from natural gas, for decades. If there was money involved, through TEQs or tradable emission quotas (or for the norweigans high CO2 taxes), a CO2 fixing industry would spring out over night.

You could also turn CO2 into graphite bricks but that isn´t too common a building material I think.
(You would use a Sabatier chamber to turn the CO2 into methane and water by having it react to hydrogen. You then split the methane into carbondust, or lampblack, in a cracker and then return the remaining hydrogen to the Sabatier chamber)

Research Keshe Foundation Spaceship Institute.....This foundation is a Open-Source Non-Patentable Plasmatic Technology of the Future & TODAY. The workshops will teach you how to capture the solid state form of CO2 very easily, right in your kitchen & at ROOM temperature no less (something modern-day science/academia states is impossible) In the future those scientists will be re-taught on how to be a scientist by experimentation/scientific method and not the Agenda Science that is wrecking our civilization today. Come learn & experiment to further the endeavor of no more Wars, sickness/disease, starvation, oil dependency ....or how about a little space TRAVEL to the stars. This is truly sci-fi technology, something ALL of mankind has been waiting for, except for the "Old Guards" of course. The solid form of CO2 will be known as Gans and will be (on of) the fuel source of the reactors that you will build, which will intern allow the tapping of the magnetic gravitational plasmatic fields that exist within our planet & the entire Universe.
Peace Brother......and just so that yah know......the SUN (Gore is a PAID SHILL) causes Climate Change as it always has and always will, that's why other Planets in our solar system are experiencing Climate Change, just as we are. CO2 always follows the warming trend of our planet & not the other way around as some PAID SHILL Scientist may retort. They were just never taught how to properly read glacial record sample core charts correctly that all. (The Grants had nothing to do with it at all)

Solid CO2 is dry Ice in solid. The plants need the CO2 as much as u need oxygen . Our lives compliment each others and the plants have done a great job . Why do u want to cut off the food source for our plant friends.

You are right on target. They call the solid material trees (which are useful as a building material). Planting more trees will help remove C02 from the atmosphere while burning them down (as in Brazil rain forests) does not help.
