I believe Chloe did, everyone knows she was infected by Kryptonite but we never knew what she possessed until last night. She gave her life to save Lois and even Chloe didn't know. Now, Lana I don't believe died. One of two things happened here: she planned the bomb herself so that Lionel thought he saw her get in and that white looking mail truck picked her up. I think she planned it so that either she could get free from Lex or so he would be framed for her murder. Either way I don't think she died.

A LOT of scenes on Smallville's season finale mimic scenes (again) from the first 2 Superman movies. With Lana dead, Chloe (maybe) dead and the Reeves Dam falling apart I can see a parallel to the first Superman movie happening here! Clark will have to battle and destroy the phantom, then he'll return to find out what happened to Chloe. He'll be able to fly now and will fly, in a fit of anger, and spin the Earth backwards to reverse time so that Lana will live, Chloe will live, Lex will be free from murder charges and Smallville shall return back to 'normal'....LOL! My guess anyway ;-)

OK! If you read spoilers Kryptonsite did say that another person was going to die, other than a big star in Smallville (Lana) so maybe Chloe really is dead, but I don't believe that Lana is dead, I agree that she took off in the truck that drove by and planned the bomb. I hope she is gone, I didn't really like the character, but I hope that Chloe isn't dead, cuz I really do like her.

Lana got 'blowed up' maybe
Chloe cried over the stabbed Lois, Lois got better, Chloe got worse.
Lionel was trapped under a pipe with rising water.
So the three of them are in the running for 'cliffhanger corpse', but all three have an out.
Lionel could be found 'in the nick of time' as Lois was in the Met U football recruiting ep.
Lana could have ducked out before the blast as Chloe and her dad did in the Season three finale.
and since We know Chloe healed Lois, its plausible that given time she would heal herself as well
but since I believe we were promised a corpse I would expect only 2 of these scenarios to occur in the season 7 premiere

did no longer capture The O.C. yet Smallville imma enable u in on the main important factors of ultimate night's episode: a million) Clakr battles yet another "being" out of the phantom zone, twist is that the villian isn't a phantom which makes it very nearly impossible for Clark to kill him. 2) Martian the Manhunter makes a focused visitor visual allure and kills the villian from the phantom zone. leaving a path of oreos got here across by using Clark. 3) Lana tells Lex that she is pregnant and on the top of the episode Lex proposes to Lana. 4) won't kno Lana answer until January's episodes. 5) point 33.a million is reported returned...and prefer oftentimes it mysteriously disappeared...with Lex and Lionel tellin all and sundry that it "on no account existed" those are the main important moments of ultimate nights episode

i don't think either of them died... in an interview with the show's creator, he said "...it was to deepen the character, which we think it does, and will allow us to keep exploring Chloe in season 7. You'll see her power first manifest in the season finale."
so, how would they be exploring Chloe in Season 7 if she's dead? and I think Lana staged her death... it's the only way she can get out of the Luthor's hold.

Chloe and suposedly Lana.
Apparently Chloe's power was to take someone's death from them and give them back their life, which she used on Lois.
Lana appears to have died by car bombing.
