Hey guys, i just got an offer from Deaking University for a MBA course.I want help from all you people out there to decide how good is the university.I want to know how good is the university for its studies,faculty,students and overall performance.Please guide me on this.

Deakin University is one of (only) 41 universities in Australia and they are tightly controlled, therefore the quality and recognition of their graduates are equal from wherever university you are studying from. The most important thing is you have to READ the course information carefully, since some courses may have the same name but different content.
Deakin university is the only university in Australia that has received University of The Year award twice (the 2nd in 1999). Therefore the reputation is good. Deakin has recently tighten the selection criteria so they are more selective in offering a place to students. However they also have a lower student-teacher ration which means that the help is there for students who are struggling with their studies.

You should go to whichever university has the best reputation which will admit you. Neither of those two universities rank very highly either within Australia or the World Rankings. The job you can get at the end of a course is much more important than the fees you pay to study it. If you lack the academic credentials to get a place in a good university, you would be best advised to get a job instead of wasting thousands of dollars and years of your life getting a qualification nobody respects. Try ANU, UNSW or Melbourne University.

I just graduated my MBA from Deakin. It's a pretty solid uni, with strong course material and a reasonably high standard. Some of the students were a bit weak at times, which made me think they had compromised for the dollar.
Most of all, I feel that i came away a lot better off for it, and the education opened my eyes to the business world.
As far as reputation, probably above average, but there is certainly a lot better; such as AGSM.

OK its in Melbourne Geelong and in Warrnambool My daughter did most of her commercial Degree and she was pleased My brothers wife lectures in Warrnambool in Economics and History she says it is very good she has just completed her masters there ~~

my cousin/best friend goes there and she has had many great opportunities and loves the social and community benifits, the people are great and facitlities are even better... i know that she wouldnt be studying anywhere else.
