You will never find out a name.. you can find out the IP realatively easy.. in fact it probably is in the log files of your sever!
There are several PHP/ASP/Java programs that will allow you to show the inbound IP if you like.

Type webtracker into your search box and you will come up with a long list of providers, some free, some cheap and some greedy.

Yes, but first you must install tracking - if you don't have it you won't be able to find out past visits but you can find out all visits in the future for free from http://www.statcounter.com

an online counter i used includes some reports that can show you where someone visiting your site is from (country), what browser he/she is using, what OS he's running... i think the premium membership will allow you to see the IP of your visitors
