I have a new leather jacket that I've hardly worn as it looks too new and cheesy. What's the simplest and or best way to distress it a little to give in that worn/older look that will go well with jeans etc?

Screw it up slightly and stick it under your mattress while you sleep for 1 night it works wonders I've done it 3 times and it worked every time. Happy sleeping!!!!

My very first Leather jacket is/was a 4th generation hand me down from some good Bro's. Not everybody is this lucky however. I have found a few leather jacket & bomber jackets at yard sales & thrift stores. My gift shall be passed on when I meet someone I feel is deserving & will carry on this traditionfor many more generations. Weathering can only be done properly by using the jacket. Anything else will make it look tackier than what you think you have now. Find some Biker's to hang with and I'll bet one of them has an older one in the closet somewhere he/she would part with but if they don't give it to you for free you can bet they will ask a good price for it. It won't be cheap but you will have a good heavy, well-worn jacket.

Weathering comes from both wear and exposure to the sunlight. You can start by wearing it a lot. Some of the exposure to the elements is really not good for the coat itself, like when you get caught in the rain and get the coat wet. It takes time to dry out, and when it does it is often worse for wear.
Some distressing comes from really abusing the coat. I do not recommend this, but some people do it. Drag it across the pavement with something heavy inside the coat, use a wire brush on it, use steel wool or sand paper. Do the low crawl or back crawl on the sidewalk or on asphalt pavement so that you get the combined effect of both your weight plus the abrasive quality of the pavement.
Also, if you happen to leave a leather coat in your car during summer days and it gets exposure to the sun, it will weather some. It is a combination of the sunlight and the heat.

Out of my two best friends one is a (straight) guy and one is a girl, Noah (the guy) always wears me and my other best friends bras, we always try to dress him up as a girl to go places where only girls can go but it never works becuase he looks really manly has short hair and talks in a real deep voice, its never a convincing disguise bu its always fun to dress up a guy friend as a girl!

I once ran over mine with my car a couple of times. Just make sure you don't have anything in the pockets and don't run over the zipper.

1. take it back to the shop and get your money back
2. go to a vintage shop and buy a second hand one - it will be much cheaper and look much better - it will be already weathered and ready to go!

run it over with the car a few times,it really works and looks good if you leave any tyre marks,then you can always use it as a good punch line...
