my red oranda has small white dots on its wen but fades in time.how do I know if its fungus or wen growth?

Fungus on the Wen looks different than the white dots. It looks more like cauliflower than it does white spots sometimes with hair like fibers. You will know the difference right away.

The fact that it fades in time is the give away. A fungus or bacterial infection would spread rapidly and only get worse given time.
