yes, i am aware and i am disgusted. It is possible that they are just "claiming" not to believe in evolution, to dumb down to their constituencies; just as likely they are really that dumb.

No, I gasp on the reality that basically approximately a million/2 the folk in this usa don't think in evolution...and that they at the instant are not all Republicans, as a results of fact i understand a number of Republicans that are turning out to be bored stiff in this non secular genuine crap. yet as long as Democrats are keen to hold the banner of gun administration--a place the two ridiculous--they at the instant are not going to alter components. i think of you would be shocked how in a position a expert-selection, professional-2nd modification occasion could desire to be. Neither occasion has the balls for it, however.

It's actually a matter of simple evolution versus strict Darwinian Evolution(in the debate they all hesitated because the question wasn't specific enough). Simple evolution leaves the door open for some kind of divine guidance, strict Darwinian Evolution does no such thing. It implicitly states that there is no possibility for God to have taken any role in the creation of man. All of those mentioned are devout Christians(Huckabee is actually a Baptist Minister), and I can guarantee they know the differences.
Interestingly enough, only 15% of the US believes in strict Darwinian Evolution http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2005/10/22/opinion/polls/main965223.shtml?source=search_story
What would amaze me is if any candidate went on the record endorsing Darwinian Evolution after reviewing the above explanation. It would be political suicide.
Also, there are prominent ATHEIST scientists that reject Darwinian evolution. Among them: Francis Crick(Nobel Prize winner, co-discovered DNA, stated in 1981 book Life Itself that aliens sent life to earth), Sir Fred Hoyle(Cambridge astrophysicist, won scientific prizes in 1968, '70, '74, '77, and '86), Chandra Wickramasinghe(holds highest doctorate from Cambridge, professor of applied mathematics and astronomy at Cardiff University of Wales and director of the Cardiff Centre for Astrobiology).

I really like Brownback, but that's just creepy. I wasn't going to vote for Huckabee or Tancredo before I read that article.

Science is ignored by religious fundamentalists in the Red State flyover land of Walmarts and Fox Propaganda. I wonder how many of them still believe the earth is flat as well.

Are really talking about serious contenders, please. Republicans can forget it this time around nothing promising there.
Democrats. Osama is my choice, I'd never vote for Clinton (snake in the grass) and it has nothing to do with her being a female. With all the plastic surgery she has had over the years, maybe someone needs to verify who has the balls in the family.

That is what happens with dogmatized politicions. I don't think they are going to get very far. At least they have convictions. Not that I agree with them.

Yeah, and I don't either. Evolution is only a hypothesis, there's no conclusive evidence to support evolution. The whole theory is based on assumptions. I've studied the subject in depth because it interested me so much and came to that conclusion.

Do you know that there are very respectable scientist who don't believe in evolution? It mathematically makes no sense...it is a scientific hypothesis and not a proven truth...it should be presented as such and should be presented with other ideas, not just as the only idea...Intelligent Design is much more plausible
