Did anyone else notice Ben's pupils were crosses?

Question

Watching Lost - the Answers last night my hubby pointed out that near the end, when Ben is talking about raiding the camp and taking the pregnant women, his pupils look like crosses. It may have just been the lighting or shadows or something. We paused the tivo to double check and yep, they were crosses. Anyone else notice that?

And I'm wrong about purgatory... just have to keep watching.

I had thought they were all in the moment of death, maybe being judged as worthy to be moved to the collective "one" or still needing to learn more and being moved back into the process of reicarnation. But that Locke was ready to move to the higher level and Ben was jealous. But now I guess I have to go with the idea that they have slipped into another plane. I am reading Lostpedia and trying to reform my thoughts on this whole thing. 3 season's of getting a theory together and bam, won't work. Ugh. And Ben's eyes do funny things-seem to have odd shapes. Not all the time but you know when he is major ticked off. Maybe it is a tie to him being able to see Jacob.

yeah, i'm really skeptical about the whole purgatory thing. the others have done so much crazy sh!t that i think they can pretty much pull off anything. my theory is that the plane that naomi talks about that was found in the bottom of the ocean with all of the bodies in it was somehow set up by the others--knowing them, they probably put some of their own people in a plane and deliberately killed them in order to cover up the fact that they were gonna crash the plane of the real group of travelers so they could do their "research" on them. but really, who knows. all i know is that i'm completely intrigued and will continue to watch the show until i can make sense of all of it.

I believe there's a reality rip, kind of like the one that Desmond had. My theory was bolstered after last night when the directors said "they are living and breathing...somewhere in the space/time continum".

I didn't see the crosses, but another thing you might want to know: The black smoke forms faces in it. My sister did the same TiVo trick to it and saw many forms of faces in it. Could be it remakes images it takes (like when it "took pictures" of Kate and Juliet in the tree) or could be souls it has taken (like Mr. Eko)

I didn't see the crosses in Ben's eyes but I did see one episode just recently and I swear that dude had cat eyes - weird.
